The memory palace
Your home, room by room, becomes a place to store what they learn.
What it is
Your kid maps your home in the order they walk through it. At the end of a lesson they can put the idea in a room. Walking the palace reviews what's in each room.
Why it helps your kid
It's one of the oldest memory tricks there is. Linking ideas to places you know makes them easy to find again.
Where to find it
On the kid's iPad: the Palace tab.
How to do it
- Help your kid add at least three rooms, in walking order.
- In a lesson's "Lock it in" step they can pick a room.
- Walk the palace with them now and then and ask what lives in each room.
What your kid sees
Their rooms with how many cards are in each, and a Walk the palace button.
